NEW Additions to Your Table

Our signature Chelsea Collection is a timeless range featuring an array of stunning birds in an enchanted garden setting, embellished with rich gold detailing. Both romantic and feminine, the unique sense of storytelling adds to its charm – and we are so very excited to announce NEW additions to it in the form of our salad bowls and servers. Read on to find out how the make the very most of this stunning newness, whether you’re hosting a seasonal soiree or serving up a homecooked meal…

1. Vary Your Textures

Combine table accents that vary in texture. Our new salad servers are a wonderful example to incorporate because their printed ceramic handle featuring our signature birds and smooth 22-ct golden prongs make them stand out against flatter, one-dimensional textures. These subtle details - the types that seem like they’d be interesting to touch - help to humanise a room and make it feel cosier. Even linen napkins can add another burst of personality to the table!

2. Embellish Your Accents

We pride ourselves on embellishing at every opportunity, and flower arranging is no exception. Flowers are beautiful on their own but, to tie your table together even more, you might consider housing them in one of our stunning teapots for a truly unique centrepiece, going more traditional with one of our best-selling vases, or wrapping them with ribbon for an extra pop of colour. You could even use the same colourful ribbon as a substitute for a napkin ring, making sure your cutlery is kept neat and assembled.

3. Mix and Match Ceramics

Using different colours, patterns and shapes when assembling your ceramics can also help add another layer of homeliness and warmth to your table, just as with using different textures. It’s a fine line to walk between an organised assortment and a cluttered jumble but, once you manage to strike the balance, you’re guaranteed to turn your guests’ heads with a table set-up that’s timeless with a contemporary twist. Finding that sweet spot is a lot simpler than it might seem; why not serve up your salads in style with our Navy Hummingbird Medium Salad Bowl and Green Birds Large Salad Bowl – perfect for mixing and matching and truly complementing one another.

4. Re-Purpose Pieces

As mentioned earlier, another wonderful way to revitalise your dinner table is to re-purpose your pieces. We love using our ceramics as vases. Our teapot makes a great centre-piece, and our teacups make cute bowls to serve food. As the saying goes: the devil’s in the detail. This quirkiness is bound to make an impression on your guests and add some creative exuberance to your dinner table.

5. Experiment With Heights and Sizes

Our final tip combines most of the previous ones: whether you repurpose serving boards as alternative placemats or use cake stands to stack your candles and flowers, create texture from the ground up by experimenting with heights and sizes. Adding a variety of levels and dimensions keeps it interesting and creates a similar effect to the use of differing textures – it adds an element of intrigue and creates a visual feast for your guests. Pair our two new salad bowls, one medium and one large, which our stunning home fragrance collection and full Chelsea dinner set to really bring the look together, whatever the season or occasion.
